Medium & the Message: Microsoft Word Called Me a “Slag” | medium & the message

    Wow. Just wow.

I'd like to see the real Microsoft take this guy down.
  • James Holmes · 1 year ago
I think this is genius if this is actually M$. Just think, they have some guy in their work environment who has some anger issues, but is the most loyal employee you can ever have. What do you do with him? Twitter assault of course! But, keep it silent. Plus, you know what they say, no publicity is bad publicity!
  • Caitlin · 1 year ago
Wow, that guy is really rude. Is that what he does? abuses people on the internet? I used to do that when I was 13 and the internet was new, I used to go on ICQ (remember that?) and be mean to people. Maybe he is 13?
  • BrandyS · 1 year ago
Well, you certainly gave him the what for, in his own, easily understandable, terms. Actually, I am surprised that microsoft hasn't sent his guy a cease-and-desist for his horrible representation of their brand. I'm pretty sure they could make twitter shut off his account.

@rachel it really is a matter of 'when', instead of 'if'

@james who is "they" exactly? and i can see Microsoft turning this into a good if they respond to it in a timely manner. we shall see.

@caitlin that's what the internet is good for, for some people - hiding behind their monitor and pissing people off

@brandys yeah, i'm really wondering how long this will last. truthfully, i think that this guy had an interesting idea - however, had he been more clever instead of insulting, it would have been way better. some of the things he says just really crosses the line.
  • digitatodd · 1 year ago
just recently twitter turned @henryrollins into @nothenryrollins because he was obviously not Henry Rollins. this guy was not insulting or rude or anything of the sort, he just wasn't who he claimed to be. it took quite a while for him to get noticed, i am guessing that this one won't last very long. it could have been funny instead it's just wrong... this guy has issues i think.
  • Microsoft Word · 1 year ago
Your dad wasn't asking me to cease and desist last night. Word.
  • Amber in Oz · 1 year ago
Who is this git? Issues is an understatement! I agree with digitatodd, this man obviously doesn't have the intelligence to work for Microsoft, even sweeping the floors. He obviously feeds off comments like I'm writing now so I'll stop.. but he needs one right in the kisser!

I've been reading through this persons updates and have come to the conclusion that he/she is really a weak, cowardly person. How's this for a best shot...Reported...oops, seems he's in a direct violation of the TOS. It's going to make me weep when I navigate to http://twitter.com/microsoftword/ and find it not there. No...wait, wait...I will be at ease...that's what I meant.

Dude, get a freaking life. It's a joke. I can't believe you turds are all up in arms over this. I was MS Word's first victim and you know what, I laughed my ass off, then I called him a used tampon.

    Lighten up fools.
  • zoeDisco · 1 year ago
kia, i agree that the original idea is funny but his comments are just too much. he threatened to rape someone. that's not funny at all.

and if that's the kind of humour you guys enjoy, then just enjoy it with yourselves. why harass people that don't enjoy it?

    that's not a joke; it's called being a bully.

and if YOU want to be taken seriously here, don't call my guests names. I'm certain that you can string together a more intelligent thought to get your point across.

    thanks for your input.

Zoe, this guy obviously isn't dealing with a full deck. I hope he's not reveling from all this attention. So sorry he has such lack of judgment and has brought your father into this. He's not doing Microsoft of twitter any favours.
  • zoeDisco · 1 year ago
@digitaltodd i agree, funny idea that was taken too far. this person has anger issues. i would hate to know them in real life.

@amberinOz thanks for the support. you are right, sometimes these trolls really thrive on the attn. at the same time, i will not just let it happen.

@edenspodek totally agree. could you imagine being the person next to him at work? scray thoughts.

@everyone - thanks for the support. it's wonderful to have such a great community. maybe that's why @microsoftword is so angry - he doesn't have people like you in his/her life to realize the value of positive relationships.

    i feel sorry for him/her.
