  That's pretty slick! I am interested in knowing how good a job it does compared to the regular washer dyer. Does it take longer, does it dry really well?

  The washing is fantastic - my clothes smell soooo good. When James did a load I asked him if he put something extra to make it smell so nice but he didn't; it was just how clean it was.
  
  The dryer takes a big longer than a regular one but it's because of the size. If you have a big wash load you would want to cut it in half before drying. But we never do big loads so it's not an issue.
  
  For drying I usually use the 'normal' mode; it takes about 3 hours to complete. The clothes come out dry but you can feel the steam in them if that makes sense. So I wouldn't take them out unless you were going to fold or hang them right away.
  
  Jamie likes using the timed dry (in 30 min increments up to 2 hours) and he says they come out great.

  I was glad to find your video review. My mom bought this machine for my new house, just like your mom did for you guys. It will be here in about a week.
  
  I'm in the US (Milwaukee), by the way, and I encountered the same strange looks at Home Depot when I said "combination unit", but they looked it up and found the machine for special order. So I'm guessing you're thrilled with the machine, and I know I will be too.
  
  I have one question....how do you set it to just dry like if you have one thing that needs more time after the load is done?

  Congrats on the new unit; you'll love it!
  
  The drying time is the one thing that takes a bit of learning - like how long, what sorts of things dry better, etc.
  
  I think you are asking this: If you pull the clothes out and they are not dried completely (or say, a sweater or something more thick is still damp) what do you do?
  
  All you have to do is hit the DRY button. You'll get the same options as before (More/Normal/Less and timed dry).
  
  I would recommend a couple of things to avoid this. First, don't jam pack the unit, do smaller loads. Also, unless it's a really small load, put the drying time on MORE. I have found this to be the way to get a perfect load done.
  
  Another thing you can do is use the Steam Fresh option, but this works best on clothes that are completely dry and just needs to get the wrinkles our or be freshened up. I find this best for heavy clothes, like jeans.
  
  The way I would use it is that when the load is done, I would hang my jeans to dry naturally. The next morning I would put them in the Steam Fresh cycle and they come out soft and fresh.

  Hey Z....
  I received my washer/dryer today, and your tips helped. I washed what would have been a triple load in my old machine of cottons and used the "more" setting like you suggested, and everything came out dry.
  
  Thanks for your advice, and I love my machine. If you guys are every in the states, you've got a friend in Milwaukee. :)
