I remember it came out during Apple's transition from OS9 to OSX. It really "hit the nail on the head". Working as a professional film/video editor at the time I really had that feeling of "been there, done that" and so did the majority of the people I worked with. It's a really well done video and I applaud it still today, it brings back great memories of being up all night trying to convince my brand new G4 that we had a deadline to meet only to have it shutdown in the middle of a rendering job.
