C'mon...ever hear of creating distribution lists?

It will even sort them alphabetically for you.

Who is seriously going to ask you why you have everyone on the TO: box?

Just say, I am far to busy to waste time trying to figure out who is a TO and who is a CC

I suppose working hard to get to the top and actually be there should be enough.
But at any level and any size of organization you find you are reminded of the level of authority one has
So us little folks don't get it
but maybe YOU will some day when you are at the top
I am waiting to see that
Let me know then how important it is
to be addressed accordingly

Isn't it petty that people get that way in organizations?

Obviously, if you send an email out, you remember the 'Big People'. But the extraneous participants that are only included in particular situations, shouldn't it be their responsibility -or more specifically, their departments responsibility - to make it known who should be included?
